About
Education overview
Gateway serves orphaned and vulnerable children, many of whom arrive malnourished, underweight, and in poor health. Some also face developmental and learning challenges caused by prolonged malnutrition.
To help every child grow and thrive, Gateway School provides two nutritious meals and two snacks each day. We employ dedicated, highly qualified teachers and maintain small class sizes, allowing each child to receive the individual attention and support needed to catch up and succeed.
This life-changing work is carried out with love, compassion, and a deep commitment to each precious child. We invite you to join us in transforming their lives—and, through them, their communities.

Education

Special Education
We supply extra support to help the children that are struggling. Special classes and tutoring are offered to help these children succeed.
High School
We don't have our own high school right now, but we do continue to support these children through qualified local high schools that partner with Gateway.
Secondary Education
As kids grow then need more than just education. We provide classes to grade 9, but also support through boys and girls mentoring groups, tutoring, and sports.
Primary Education
We provide two strings of PP1 through grade 6. We strive to keep class sizes to a maximum of 25 pupils.
Feeding Program
Kids can't learn when they are hungry. Before we can work on other areas of their lives we have to address their basic needs.
What we do
Key services
Food Boxes
For many children at Gateway School, regular meals are not guaranteed at home. On weekends, some receive only one meal a day—or sometimes nothing more than tea. Without adequate nutrition, growing children struggle to learn, thrive, and reach their God-given potential.

When students return after a school break, the effects are often heartbreaking. Many are noticeably thinner and malnourished, with little energy and none of their usual spark. Yet after just a few days of nutritious meals at Gateway, their strength, energy, and joy begin to return.

Our Food Box Initiative helps bridge this critical gap when school is not in session. One food box can provide enough food to nourish a family of four for approximately one month. Please consider donating a food box and helping ensure that a child—and their family—does not go hungry.
